A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City ia to reconstruct the sidewalk on the south side of
Berkeley Street from Ma.caleater Street west to the alley approxi�a�ly 120 feet
abutting the property ]�own as 277 Ma�a3ester Street, except where good. and sufficient
sidewa,lks now exist. �'� " - ' '

and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commiasioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and apecifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials axe hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the mal�ng of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The Conanissioner of Pu.blic Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order of the Council� lmown as Council F�le No. 202731
approved June 23rd. 19 61 relative to reconstructing the sidewalk on

the south side of Be�kele,y St. from Macalester St. west to the alle approximately
120 ft. abutting the propert,y lmown as 277 Macalester �t.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $0.�2 per sq. ft. for mono. conc. walk �.'� thick.
Extra work(excav., fi11, conc. rem�d, root cuttin�, drive crossin�s,etc.)at extra cost.
2. A plan� profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
