WHEREAS, The Commi"ssioner of Libraries, �yuditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Sect�on 53 of the City �harter, the egistence of an emergency dur3ng the
period froan July 30th through .September 2� 19b1 which rendered necessary the employment
of certain �nployees of the Depaxtment of Libraries� A����� Muse�s and Stadia�
Burea.0 of Auditorium� for more than eight hours per d�y or forty hours per week in doing
the followi.ng work: .
Operati.ng ventila.ting systeans, PSX Switchboard, arid supervise duri.ng Pop
Musical Ice Revue shows, nurses commencemen.ts, talent show and other events
held in the build3.ng.
and WHEREAg, This emergency arose by reason of the follow�ng facts and circumstar�ces;
No other trained help available to work during abov�e attractions held in
the building, this time in�cludes Saturdays and Sundays.
THF�REFORE BE IT RESOLVID, that �he proper City Officers are hereby authori2ed to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the CouncilTs
Salary Ordinanc e No. 6!Gl.G6. — .
