AREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported,
in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of
an emergency during the period from December lst to December 15th 1<,
inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain emplo3
of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty
hours per week in doing the following work:
1 Working
king extra shifts, various stations:
2 Snow removal, various stations:
3 Repairing water mains.
4 Changing water meter
Driving country crew to and from work.
AND WHEREAS., this emergency arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
1) Absence of employees on regular shifts:
In order to give consumers water supply as soon as possible
2 Necessary to remove snow an Sunday.
4 Necessary to change water meter after business hours.
151 On account of scattered work locations:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the,proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in
accordance with the provisions of the Councilts Salary Ordinance,
Ordinance No. 6446:
