WFIEREAS, the Woodrow Wilson Intemarional Center for Scholazs is sponsoring a conference on eazly childhood
development and educarion and policy development in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Mazch 26, 2008; and
VVHEREAS, Lisa Cariveau, Early Education Project Coordinator for the Mayor's Office, has been invited to be a
panelistatthe conference;and
WHEIiEAS, the Center has offered to pay fox the flight to the conference; and
Wf�REAS, the City Council finds tUat attendance at the conference by Ms. Cariveau will have a public pwpose as
it directly relates to her employment and will showcase efforts the Mayor's Office is making in tlus important azea;
now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City thanks the Woodrow Wilson Intemational Center for Scholazs for its generous gifr of
airfaze to and from the conference; and
FURTFIER RESOLVED, that the City accepts the gifr of the funds, and appropriates them to the pwpose of ai�e j� ay/�'�"
of airfare for Lisa Cariveau to travel to the conference.
