f WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance

� with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
' during the period of November l, 1961 to November 15, 1961 inclusive
i which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of
E the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours per
; day or fortq hours per week in doing the following work:

Overtime night work required to restore street
�� lighting service immediately for public safety,

• �RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay' the
� employees who performed such work in accordance with the pro-
fvisions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
