FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rate of pay for the new classification of Senior
Prosecutor be established at the rate set forth in Grade 004, of Bargaining Unit 19, the
AFSCME-Legal Salary Schedule, and be it
FINALLY KESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect and be in force on the date the
Ordinance to establish the aforementioned position in the unclassified service is effective.

Initiating Problem, Issues, Opportunity (Who, What, When, Where, Why):
In December 2007, Human Resources was asked by the City Attomey's Office to create a position to meet their business needs. A
determination was made by HR that the creation of a Senior Prosecutor classificarion was appropriate. AFSCME I,egal Bazgaining
Unit representarives were norified of the creation of the Senior Prosecutor classification and they had no objections.
Advantages If Approved:
Approval of this resolution will establish the equitable compensation for this new mmclassified Senior Prosecutor posirion.

None.
Disadvantages If Not Approved:
Equitable compensation will not be established.
