Yes No Expiain all yes answers on separete sheet and attach to green sheet Initiating Problem, Issues, Opport�nity (Who, What, When, Where, Why): The Saint Paul Public Library Agency recentty requested that Human Resources establish a new classification of Library Aide (library shelver) to support the business needs of the Library Agency. In addition, HR was requested to conduct a compensation and classification study of the Library C�stomer Service Assistant (formerly Library Clerk I- 1� job series. AR determined that upgrades and corresponding compensation increases should be made to the following classes: Library Customer Service Assistant I, II, and III and Office Assistant I. Additionally, the rate of pay for Office Assistant I represented by Classified Confidential Employees Association will also be upgraded as noted in the attached Council Resolution. Advantages If Approved: Appropriate compensa8on will be assigned to the new classification and exisring classifications, as noted above, in accoxdance with the City's j ob evaluation system. Disadvantages If Approved: None.
