Laid over Snmmary Abatement Assessments: 70716A Providing weekly garbage hauling services from September 1 G to October 10, 2007; J0717A Property clean ups from October 15 to October 30, 2007; and 753 Lafond Avenue (J0716A and J0717G} Refened back to Legislative Hearing at the February 6 Council Public Hearing. Mr. Betz stated orders were issued on October 1, 2007 to provide proof of garbage hauling service with a compliance date of October 4. The property was re-inspected on October 8 and the owner failed to provide proof of service. A work order was sent to the Parks Department and a trash container was dropped off on October 4. The City discontinued providing trash service on October 19 as Veolia confirmed that the owner had service. The total cost of the assessment was $270. Alfredo Saucedo Miranda stated that he did not have a fence around his yard and people would dump stuff in his garbage containers and in his yard, including a vehicle which he called the Police to have it removed. Ae had canceled his garbage service because of people dumping. He also had been ignoring his mail and didn't realize that the City had issued orders to him. He said that he now had garbage service again. Mr. Betz explained that there had been several summary abatement orders that had all gone to work order at this property for garbage, a vehicle, junk in yard, and a mattress. The City cleaned up the property on September 15 and on October 10. The filed indicated that the owner cleaned up the property from the arders that were issued on October 1. When the inspector was at the property, she noticed that there were no trash containers at the property and issued an arder to provide proof of service. Ms. Moerxnond asked whether there was any returned mail in the file. Mr. Betz responded that there was one suuunaty abatement order that had been returned in September. Ms. Moermond recommended approving the assessment for the gubage hauling service. She stated that she would review the record and her recommendation on the summary abatement assessment was forthcoming. 0 8 - 20 m 4 0 z c v E N N N N a C b 1' y z z Ow a3> a V . V O W za F U z ¢ aW AF U z U tU N Q ' L 7 ❑ '-' a v Cl « > p ` a a o ."+ a a c y .. a u , ' Y O 0 d d a h , II N N O ti L P. p U ri a O W W 0.
