WI�REAS, �The Commissioner of parks aaid Recreation and �
Pu.blic Build�ngs has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of
an emergency during the period from October 16 to
31� 1961, whi.ch rendered necessary the employ-
ment of cer-�ain employees of the Department of
Farks and Recreation and Public Buildings for
more than"eight hours per day or forty hours per
week in doing the following work;

heavy patronage of parks facilities:

THERDFORE, BE IT RESOL�TED� That the proper city officers
are hereby authorized to pay the employees who per-
formed such work in accordance with the provisions
of the Council�s salary ordinance� Ordinance No. 6l�1a.6.
