Dear Council Memberss

; The request of Paul Ingram, 320 West King Street, for per-
.
mission to build a patio fence not to exceed six feet high

j has been investigated by this office.

f Our inspector reports that this fence will be approximate-
ly 24 feet long and will screen the patio. He sees no ob-
jections to its erection and the neighbors are agreeable to
 it.

Court House - Room 445
 St. Paul, Minnesota
 '
Y Gentlemen:
This is to request permission to build a patio fence 24 feet
in length and not more than six feet in height between our
i property and that of our neighbor, C}$rles En$strom, 330
West Kin$ Street. Mr. Engstrom will benefit from this arrange-
ment as well as ourselves and is willing to send his signature
: though he is on vacation at this time.

As matters stand, we have full view of his bedroom and dinin
# room while sitting on our patio. They, on the other hand,
, and any passer-by going through, have clear view of our bath-
room since the bathroom opens onto the kitchen. (Our kitchen
opens onto our patio. ) Since it is their plan to also build
a patio we would both enjoy our yards more we were to have the
i
arranement requested.
In addition to this, our neighbor's home is a two family dwell-
ing now housing three children plus one being taken care of
by the upstairs dweller. My husband and I are alone. We enjoy
the children, relations are pleasant, but one does need moments
j of privacy over a cup of coffee to withstand the frquent in-
trusions occasioned -by children, their friends, the animals and
 the tricycles.
E
I
: We trust you will see your way clear to grant us this license.
4 Should you c3esire Mr. Engstrom's sinature, it will be f orthcom-

ing. An early reply would be appreciated in view of the fact
i that we are atious to get started, guests expected momentarily.
