Dear Council Members :

� You referred to this office for recommendation, the letter
E of the Superamerica Stations, Inc. requesting an extension
� of time for the construction of a new filling station at the
� northeast corner of Maryland and Hazelwood.
� Under the law, it will be necessary that they start develop-
ting their property before October 1, 1961 or the permission
� granted by the Council will expire. I have ascertained from
Harvey B. Nelson, real estate representata�ve of Superamerica,
they desire this permit to be extended six months to approx-
� imately April 4, 1962.
�FThis office can see no objections to this and recommends that
a resolution be passed extending this permit to April 4, 1962.

� On A,pril 4, 1961, we were issued a building permit for
c{�nstruction and operation of a service station on the property
we own on the Northeast corner of Maryland Avenue and Hazelwood
Street.

Since it does not now appear we will be developing the
pr�operty prior to October 4, 1961, the six month expiration date
of� said permit, we would appreciate knowing what steps will be
ne�cessary to have the permit extended for an additional period.
�
� Will you kindly inform us by letter regarding this matter
pe�rmitting us to keep our records complete and thereby avoiding
any possibility of letting this permit become invalid. ,
