WHEREAS, the Minnesota Tunberwolves l�ave a longsTanding partrierslup with the City of Saint Paul's Aivision of
Pazks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the Miunesota Timberwolves aze affiliated with the National Pazent Heartwatch organization; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Pazks and Recreation programming and aquatic staff aze 4ained to provide basic CPR and
use AEDs (automatic external defibrillators); and
WIlEREAS, the Division of Pazks and Recrearion intends to put AEDs (autoxnated external defibrillators) in service at
all of its recreation centers over the next five yeazs; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Timberwolves in cooperarion with the Pazent Heartwatch organization have selected the
Oxford/Jimmy Lee site as a recipient of an AED through their W olvesCare progam;
BE IT THEI2EFORE RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul and the Saint Paul City Council authorize the Division of
Pazks and Recreation to accept the AED as a donation from the Minnesota Timberwolves, worth approximately $1500, for the
O�'ord/Jimmy I,ee site, to be used as appropriate in the event of an emergency requiring its use.
