� � WHEREA,S, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance
� wi.th Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
� dur3.ng the period from July l, 1961 to July 15, 1961 inclusive
�� which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of
�� the Department of Public IItilities for more than eight hours per
� day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
�� Making emergency repairs to street lighting circuits,
�� Making concrete block tests, -

WHER.EAS, this earergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
. stances:
� Overtime nirght work required to restore street lighting
�� service 3mmediatel� for public safety,
. Completion of tests requixing continuous attention,
�
� therefore, be it
� RESOI,VID, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized,to pay the
�� , ___ _ _ employees who performed such work in accordan.ce with the pro-
�� visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ord3.nance No. 61�la.b.
