Weida, employe of 31the Department I of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, of the City of Saint Paul, was injured in a third party accident on February 23, 1961, while engaged in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public Safety, and the City has incurred medical expenses in k the amount of $63.00 therefor, and the employe, by reason of said t injury, was disabled from work for a period, being paid the lr;; ' amount of $64.75 therefor; and WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated between the parties in the total amount of $625.00, including the amount of $127.75 to which the City was subrogated for medical expense and salary, and the employe has tendered to the office of the Corporation Counsel his check dated June 19, 1961, drawn on the American National Bank, St. Paul, Minnesota, and payable to the City of St. Paul in the sum of $127.75; and WHEREAS, Hardware Mutuals Insurance, insurer of Robert Michler, third party involved in said accident, has issued to the -City of` St. Paul its Draft No.-215163 in the amount of $89.15 to cover Registered Bill No. 3 -3280 for damage to the squad car involved in the accident, now, therefore, be it - RESOLVED, the proper-City of- ficers are hereby authorized to accept said settlement of $127.75 for the amount due the City in connection with the personal-injury sustained by said employe, said amount to be credited as follows: to Fund 31 -G1 -A, $63.00, to Fund 7 -C1, salary, $64.75, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, the proper City officers are hereby authorized to execute any necessazy releases.
