SCHROEDER, City Architect 445 City Hall, Zone 2 CApital 4 -4612 Ext. 361 June 5, 1961 Hon. Council ' City of Saint Paul Dear Council Members: The application of Dr. Douglas R. Kusske of 1283 Hillcrest Avenue for a fence permit was referred to this office for investigation and report. His application is for a six foot high fence of vertical boards or pickets to enclose his rear yard. Our inspector reports that he can see no objections to the erection of such a fence if it is kept at least forty per cent open. Therefore, we are recommending that the Council authorize the Building Bureau to issue a permit for this construction. Yours truly, Al d H. ALBERT HOHMANN, M.D. 444 LOWRY MEDICAL ARTS BUILDING SA -I NT RAUL2,MINNESOTA May 26,1961 The Honorable City Council City of St. Paul St. Paul, Minnesota Very recently we added a new kitchen to our home located at 1283 Hillcrest, St. Paul. Our remodelingspoject,- included also the installation of a window known as a picture window. Located as we are, on a corner, we would like 'to insure privacy for ourselves and to that end, we wish to erect a fence similar to the one on the property of a neighbor, Dr. Lynch. The fence is intended to make the back yard our own. This fence would be six feet high, to serve our purpose. In style, it would be constructed of vertical boards, or pickets. Permission to erect this fence is hereby requested. The day by day life of a busy doctor makes what privacy we can secure -very essential in home life. '` Sincerely., Dr. Mrs. Douglas R.
