under Preliminary Order �3553 a.pproved August 17, 1961
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said regort, hereby resolvea:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to eondemn and take
an easement in the laud necessary for slopes� cuts� and fills including right oP re-
moval o� ]ateral support froan sub�ect land or remainder thereof occasioned by excava-
tion thereof or construction o� slopes in the grading and surfacing with bituminoua
material of Stewart Ave. from Homer St. east to vacated Ste�raxt Ave.� in accordance
With the blueprint hereto attaehed and made a part hereo�� the hatched portions showin�� �
the cuts and the shaded portions ahowing the fills �
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof ia $ 50.00

Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said unprovement on the day of
October, 1961 , at the hour of 10 dclock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Iiall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commisaioner of Finance give notice of -
` sa.id meeting to the persona and in the manner provided by the Charter, sta.ting the time and place of
hea,ring, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
