OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL ESOLUTION—GENERAL FORM DATE WIMMS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 51 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from April lst to April 15th 1961 inclusive which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Repairing equipment, various stations. 2 Working extra shifts, various stations. '-3 Repairing water mains. 4 Driving country crew to and from work: 5 Fighting forest fires: AND WHEEMS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: (1� Necessary to put equipment in working order -,immediately: (2 Illness of regular employees: 3 In order to put water mains in service as soon as possible: 4 On account of scattered work locations. 5 In order to keep fires from spreading: TI F-OREi BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No: 6446: COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays DeCourcy Holland .
