COUNCIL RESOLUTION- GENERAL FORM
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period fro 1 19 1961 to April 159 1961 inclusive
which rendered necessar a employment of certain employees of
the Department of Wbfi�c-, "'lities for more than eight hours per
day or forty hours e "16ek in doing the following work:
Making emergency repairs to street lighting circuits,
Making concrete block tests,
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
Overtime night work required to restore street
lighting service immediately for public safety,
Completion of tests requiring continuous attention,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
