Resolved, That the proper city offi-
cers are hereby authorized to pay
certain employes in the Corporation
Counsel's .Office for extra employment
as described in the resolution.

WHEREAS, the Corporation Counsel has reported, in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an
emergency during the period from March 1$, 1961, through April 6, 1961,
which rendered necessary the employment,of an employee of the Corporation
Counsel for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:

preparation of City bills and duplicating and distri-
bution of'statewide bills to interested City Depart-
ments in connection with the legislative work during
the 1961 Legislative Session;
WHEREAS, this emergency +arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
5 inability to complete the work necessary to be done
in regular office hours on account of work loan;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby .authorized
to pay the employee shown on the attached list, who performed such work, in
accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance No.
6446.
