WBEMAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from March 5th through April 1, 1961 which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, ,auditorium, Museums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following work=
Operate Ventilating system, PBX Switchboard and supervise during various
activities held in the building including basketball tournament, circus,
concerts, meetings, hockey games, etc.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances;

No other trained help availbble to work during above attractions held in
the building, this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
THEREFORE BE JT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
