Resolved, that for the purpose of effectuating the true intent and purpose of
the Council and to provide therefor and facilitate the acquisition under the power-
of eminent domain by the City of Saint Paul, of necessary lands and easements in
lands for construction of flood walls, dikes, pumping station sites, structures, and
slopes for flood control purposes pursuant to the prior resolution of the Council in
the nature of a Final Order for ?dap 3, designated as Council File No. 200880, approved
February 21, 1961; that said prior Resolution be amended in the following particular
to wits
That the language "Southwesterlyfl where the same appears in the first description
pertaining to the condemning and taking of permanent easements, in said final order in
the section defining the precise nature, extent and kind of improvement to be made by
the said City and also in the section defining the land, lands or easements therein
and ordering the same to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of mak-
ing said improvement, and immediately following the language "thence bearing North-
easterly along r line parallel to and 170 feet Northwesterly from thee, therein, be
amended to read IrSoutheasterly"s therein; and that the prior resolution for Map 3 of
this Council, C.F. 200880, spproved February 21, 1961, be.amended in the following
particular, to -wit: that the resolution description contained therein, reading as
follows:
"That part of Lots 7 thru 12, Block 17, Tovrn of Brooklynd, and the vacated
Chester St. lying within the following described line: 'Commencing at the
Southwest corner of said Block 17; thence bearing Southwesterly along the 6xtund
extended Southeasterly line of.said Block a distance of 20 ft.; thence bear-
ing Northwesterly along a line 20A. Southwesterly from snd, parallel to the*
Southwesterly line of Block 17 a distance of 170 ft. to the point of beginn-
ing of the property to be described; thence bearing Northeasterly aload a
line parallel to and 170 ft. Northwesterly from the Soutkmiesterly line of
Block- 17 a distance of 25 ft.; thence at right angles bearing Northwesterly a
distance of 136 ft.; thence at right angles bearing Northeasterly a distance of

Southwesterly line of Block 17 a distance of 170 ft. to the point of beginn-

line parallel to and 170 ft. Northwesterly from the Southeasterly line of

Resolved further, that except as so amended in accordance herewith, said prior
Resolution , Council File No. 200880, in the nature ot-a Final Order for the subject
public.improvement, shall stand and be operative ae adopted.
