PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL- RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONN ER I� d-� / DATE FIOUNCIL NO. 146 WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 51 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 16th to March 31st 1961 inclusive which:_rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Repairing telemetering system at Wedt Side Station. 2 Working extra shifts, various "stations. 3 Shutting off mains to allow cutting in of new gate-at Rice & Larpenteur and making temporary hook -up to keep up water supply: (4) Driving country crew to and from work: (5 Repairing fences cut by Fire_ Dept: investigating fires. AND WHffM, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1' Necessary to put telemetering system in working order immediately. 2 Illness of employees on regular shifts: 3 In order,to give consumers continuous water supply: 4 On account of scattered work lociLtions. 5 In order to be able to move to another location next day. THEREFORE] BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No: 6446i, Council File No: 201469 —By Mrs. Donald M. DeCourcy- Resolved, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the Department of Water for extra employment as described in the resolution.
