RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering to
the Water Department, Hamline and Carroll Avenues, Saint Paul, Minnesota,

4 ", 611, 8" 12" and 16" Water Gate Valves, to M & H VALVE & FITTINGS COMPANY,
A DIVISION OF DRESSER INDUSTRIES, INC. in accordance with City specifications
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8586 of said bidder for the

contract price of $19,692.00 (Board of Water Commissioners reserving the right
to increase any individual item of the Materials of the contract by an amount
not to exceed twenty -five per cent of the quantity indicated), such bid being
the lowest and said M & H Valve & Fittings Company, A Division of Dresser
Industries, Inc. being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract
therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute
said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
