WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from November 5th through November 303 1961 which rendered necessary the employ-
ment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following work;
Operate ventilating systems, PBX, Switchboard, and supervise during various
events held in the building.
and AREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available to work during Women's Institute programs,
concerts, conventions and other events held in the building, this time also
includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
y EREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
_�_S&lary Ordinance No. 6446.
