DeCourcy- An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 11847, as the same now appears as Chapter 257, of the Saint Paul Legisla- tive Code, adding thereto a provision relating to the time at which any credit for„ discontinuance of noncon- serving air conditioning equipment shall be granted and, further adding to said chapter a provision relating to such nonconserving air conditioning P0.7 -tnmer•.t,,thg use of which is sporadic 205021 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11847, AS THE SAME NOW APPEARS AS CHAPTER 257, OF THE SAINT PAUL LEGISLATIVE CODE, ADDING THERETO A PROVISION RELATING TO THE TIME AT WHICH ANY ` CREDIT FOR DISCONTINUANCE�OF NONCONSERVING AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT ,S_4LL BE- GRANTED AND FURTHER ADDING TO SAID CHAPTER A PROVISION RE- LATING TO SUCH NONCONSERVING AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT, THE USE OF WHICH IS SPORADIC IN CHARACTER A AS OPPOSED TO NONCONSERVING EQUIPMENT REGULARLY USED FOR COMFORT CONDITIONING, AND AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 255.04 OF THE_SAINT PAUL LEGISLATIVE CODE BY ADDING THERETO A;PROVISION RELATING TO AN INTERIOR PIPING INSTALLATION. THIS IS'AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RENDERED NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND SAFETY. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: I Section 1. Chapter 257.05 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby amended by inserting at the end of said Chapter and subsection, a new paragraph entitled, "Time of Adjustment" which shall read as follows:I "Any credit due a consumer by reason of said consumer's permanent discontinuance of nonconserving air conditioning equip- ment or other authorized adjustment may, at the discretion of the Board of Water Commissioners, be made at or prior to the end of the air conditioning season." Section 2. That Chapter 255.04 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is amended by adding thereto, after the provisions now contained in said Chapter, a new paragraph to read as follows: i "Wherever two pipes of dissimilar materials are joined together, an insulating union shall be provided between them,jand such insulating unions shall also be provided at both the in- let and the outlet of alllnew or replaced hot water heaters." Section 4. This ordinancIe is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preserva- tion of the public peace, health and safety. Section 5: This ordinance shall -take effect and be in force upon its passage, approval and publication. Section 6. This ordinance shall be deemed a part of the Saint Paul Legislative Code and shall be incorporated therein and given a :appropriate chapter number at the time of the next revision,of said Legislative Code.
