Hurley, employee of the Bureau of Police of the Department of Public Safety, was injured during the course of such employment on several occasions, as follows: June 22, 1943, April 4, 1945, January 11, 1946, February 14, 1953, November 5, 1955, December 17, 1955, January 17, 1959 and February 21, 1960;,and WHEREAS, said employee, through his attorneys Robins, Davis and Lyons, and Arnold Bellis, filed a claim petition with -the Industrial Commission for benefits under the Workmen's Compen- sation Law, and at the time specified for hearing the petition, a compromise agreement was reached between the parties and a stipulation for settlement made; and WHEREAS, the office of the Corporation Counsel recommends that said compromise settlement be agreed upon and ratified by the City, due to the serious nature of the employee's injuries and considering that, it is a full, final and complete settlement of all claims for temporary total, temporary partial, permanent partial disability, sick leave, or claims for injuries in ' line of duty or any claims for simultaneous injuries, or claims for drugs and medicines to date as the result of said accidental injuries-all sustained while in the employ of the City of Saint Paul, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into and the City Council hereby ratifies said Stipulation for Settlement and, further, the proper City officers are hereby authorized to make payment in accordance with the Award of the Industrial Commission made pursuant to said Stipulation, as follows: to Vincent A.
