A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to reconstruct the sidewalk at the Horase Mann
School which includes the east side of Wilder St. from Eleanor Ave. to Bayard Ave.;
west side of Kenneth St. from Eleanor Ave. to Bayard Ave.; north side. of Eleanor
Ave. from Kenneth St. to Wilder St.; south side of Bayard Ave. from Kenneth St. to
Wilder Sto to include all incidental work on the school property, except where good
and_ sufficient sidewalks--now-.exist - �—
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby lstructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same toy tAe Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the rCity of Saint Paul:
The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the pre-
liminary order'of the Council, known as Council File No. 204 253
approved Oct. 5th. 1961 relative to reconstructing the side-
walk at the Horace Mann School which includes the east side of Wilder
St. from Eleanor Ave. to Bayard Ave; west side of Kenneth St. from
Eleanor Ave. to Bayard Ave; north side of Eleanor Ave. from Kenneth St.
to Wilder St; south side of Bayard Ave. from Kenneth St. to Wilder St.
to include all incidental work on the school property.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $0.52 per sq. ft. for mono. conc. walk
4" thick. Extra work(excavtion, fill, conc. rem'd, root cutting, drive
crossings,etc.)at extra cost. �A
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and made
a part hereof.
