Whereas, The City of Minneapolis
owns a heater planer which can be

WHEREAS, The Public Works Department of the City of Saint Paul
desires to accomplish a heater planing maintenance program on streets
paved with asphaltic concrete, and

WHEREAS, The City of Minneapolis owns a heater planer which can
be obtained on a very favorable hourly rental basis,
,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public
Works be,-and he is hereby authorized to rent a Littleford- C-larkmoore
heater planer machine from the Equipment Division of the City Engineer's
Department of the City of Minneapolis for a period of approximately one
month. The City of Saint Paul will pay an hourly rental rate of $19.88
per hour,kwhich will include costs for an experienced operator, gasoline,
oil, heating fuel and any other operating supplies for the machine.
The City of Saint Paul hereby assumes all liability -for damages of a
bodily injury or property damage nature incurred during the rental period
while thelheater planer is in the City of Saint Paul. The City of Saint
Paul shalli reimburse the City of Minneapolis for any payments which may
be made to the operator of said equipment under the Workman's Compensation
Laws and incurred during the rental period.
