��
WHEREAS, the Ciry Conncil, on August 1, 2007 by Resolufion Number CF07-684, authorized the D'uector of Public Works to
apply to the Metropolitan Council for a grart for the installation and evaluation of Accessible Pedestrian Signals at e�sting
signalized intersections; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul was awazded a$100,000 Metropolitan Council New Freedom Fund Gran[ for Accessible
Pedestrian Signals;and
WI�REAS, the gant requires a match of local funds in the amount of $25,000; and
WfIEREAS, there is available CIB funding in the 2008 Pedestrian Safety Program to fund the local match; so
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RFSOLVED that the City of Saint Paul accept said Metropolitan Council New Freedom Grant
and authorize the Director of Public Works ro sign the grant ageement, and
BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVED by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of
the Long Ra�ge Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $125,000 is avaitable for appropriaiion in the Capital
Impcovement Budgets, as heretofoLe adopted and amended by this Councii, be heceby furthec amended in the Improvement
Budge[s, in (he following particulars:
