A public hearing having been had upon the taking and condemnation of the lands or easements therein, }
for the above improvement, and the awards of damages therefor, and also upon the assessment of benefits
therefor, and the Council having duly considered the same, now therefore be it {
Resolved, That the taking and condemnation of the lands described in the annexed assessment roll,
identified by the signature of the Commissioner of Finance, and made a part hereof, and the awards of
damages to the owners of such lands for said taking and condemnation as set forth in said assessment roll,
be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified and confirmed.
Resolved further, that the said assessment of benefits, be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified,
and the same is hereby ordered to be submitted to the District Court for confirmation.

ON CONDEMNATION OF LANDS

In the matter
part-t.a,lly opening, widening and extending a highway known as the Short Line
Rcr-d by condemning and taking an easement for highway purposes on and across
the following tracts of laud, all in the City of Saint Pauly County of'Ramsey
and State of Minnesota, to -wit:
Those parts of the and SF4 of Section 3, T. 28 N, R. 23 W, and
Lot 15, Block 69 IMson and Simonton's Addition to Saint Paul included within
a fifty (50) foot wide strip of land lying adjacent to and northeasterly of
the present southwesterly right-of-way line of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Pawl.
and Pacific Railroad Company, extending from the west line of the said Mt..
Section 3, To 28 No R. 23 W (Hamlin Avenue) to the south line of the said
S, Section 3, T. 28 R, R 23 W (St. Clair Avenue), being a portion of the
right- bfdway now owned by the said Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and pacific
Railroad Company.
un- Also that part of the., Section 10, T. 28 R, R. 23 W, included within
Int a twenty -five (25)foot vide strip of land lying adjacent to and northeasterly
of the present southwesterly right-of-way line of the Chicago.. Milwaukee and
Fin Pacific Railroad Company, extending from the north line of .the said 1 ,,
Section 10, T. 28 N, R. 23 W (St. Clair Avenue) to the east line of the afore -
said DRIP Section 10, T. 28 N4p R. 23 W (Lexington Parkway So.) being a poAion
of the right-of-way now owned by the said Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and
TO Pacific Railroad Company.
Also that part of the 1 , Section 11, T. 28 R, R. 23 W, and Lot 8.9
Subdivision of Ayd's Farm bounded by the following described lines: Commencing
at the.intersection of the west line of the said 1*9 Section 11, T. 28 R,
R. 23 W (Lexi.ngtQn Parkway So.) with the present southwesterly right =of vay
line of the Chicago,,,Milvaukee, St. Paul. and Pacific Railroad Company; thence
north on the said west line of Section 11, T. 28 Nq R. 23 W to the point of its
p111 intersection with a line twenty -five (25) 'feet distant northeasterly from and
the parallel to the abovepmeationed southwesterly right -of -way line; thence in a
soattheasterly direction on a straight line to the point of its intersection
am with the aforesaid southwesterly right-of-way line at the east line of Lot 8,
Subdivision of Ayd's Farm in the said 1 of Section 11; thence in a north-
of, westerly di'recti'on on the aforesaid southwesterly right-of-way line of the
Chicago, Milwaukee, St: Paul and Pacific Railroad Company-to the point of

Also condemning and taking a temporary easement,for the reconstruction
and extension of the existing bridges'over the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul
apd Pacific'Railroad Company's.tracks on the following designated streets:
Swamit Avenue] Brand Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, St. Wair Avenue and Lexington
Parkway South,-such bridge extensions to provide highway overpass bridges
over the said Short Line Road ,
