RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby ordered and directed:
1. To investigate the necessity for, or desirability of, the making of said improvement.
2. To investigate the nature, extent and estimated cost of said improvement, and the total cost thereof.

4. To state whether or not paid improvement is asked for on the petition of three or more owners.

That part of Government Lots 4 and 5 lying within the following described lines:
Commencing at the northeasterly corner of Lot 6, Block 29, Dunwell and Spencer's
Addition to Brooklynd; thence bearing south 28 OJI east along the northeasterly line
of said addition -a di stance of 25.0 feet; thence bearing north 73 001 east, a di s- . •
tance of 64.0 feet; thence bearing south 77 441 east a distance of 117.7 feet; thence
bearing south 70 491 east' a distance of 243.5 feet to the point of beginning of the

wails, dikes, pumping station sites and other structures for flood control purposes
on the following described property; temporary easements to remain in affect for
either a three year duration or upon the completion of construction whichever comes
first,o The-District Engineer of the U: S. Carps of Engineers shall determine the
completion of construction date.

ing at a point lying 55 feet westerly of the west line of Taft Street as platted in
the Second Addition to Brooklynd, St. Paul, Minn., and 90 feet southerly of the ex-
tended south line of Tennessee Street; thence bearing southeasterly to a point on
the extended north line of Kentucky Street at a distance of 40 feet westerly from
said west line of Taft Street; thence bearing westerly along-said north line of Ken-
tucky Street a distance•of 15.0 feet; thence bearing northerly along a Ifne 55' west-
