�
WHEREAS, on January 12, 1988, the Council of the City of Saint Paul approved the procedures to allocate the Emergency
Shelter Grant ("ESG") funds given to the City by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and
WHEREAS, on 7une 16, 2008, the City of Saint Paul issued a Requests for Proposals which invited eligible nonpmfit
organiz,ations to submit proposals to use ESG funds to serve Saint Paul homeless residents; and
WHERAS, in accordance with the approved procedures, the Emergency Shelter Grant Review Committee reviewed the ESG
grant requests and recommended the following organizations for funding:
1. Ain Dah Yung $8,000
2. Catholic Chariries Extended Hour Program $63,000
3. Catholic Charities Family Service Center $27,000
4. East Side Family Center $6,000
5. Emma Norton Residence $L,462
6. Face to Face SafeZone Resource Center for Youth $5,000

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Ciry of Saint Paul accepts and approves these
recommzndations for the expenditure of the Emergency Shelter Grant funds; and
BE IT F[IRTHER RESOLUED that the City Councll authorizes the appropriate Ciry staff to e�cute con�racts with the
abovementioned organizations in accordance with city, state, and federal regulations; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that upon the recommendations of the Mayor, the City Council adopts these changes to the
2008 budget as noted in Attachment A.
