INTERMEDIARY ORDER
In the Matter of changing the grade at the alley in Block 18, Merriam Park 3rd
Addition, from Fairview Ave. to Dewey St. to conform tothe grade as shown on the
profile on file in the Department of Public Works, also grading and surfacing with
bituminous material the alley in Block 18, Merriam Park15rd Addition, from Fairview
Ave. to Dewey Ste to the proposed change of grade, also installing a sewer for storm
water purposes in the alley from 45.8 feet east at Dewey St. to the existing sewer
in Dewey St.
under Preliminary Order 200128 Approved December 20, 19(0
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to change the grade
at the alley in Block 18, Merriam Park 3rd Addition, from Fairview Ave. to Dewey Ste
to conform to the grade as shown on the profile on file in the Department of Public
Works, also grade and a face with bituminous material the alley in Block 18, Merriam
Park 3rd Addition, from:Fairview Ave. to Dewey Ste to the proposed change of grade,
also install a sewer for, storm water purposes in the alley from 45.8 feet east at
Dewey St. to the existing sewer in Dewey Ste

with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $2,270.83
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 25th day of
April, 1961 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
