RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the awards of the Purchasing Committee
therefor and hereby awards contracts for furnishing the following approximate
quantities of Stabilized Gravel, more or less according to requirements, to the
City of St. Paul to be used for construction, repair and maintenance operations
and street oiling to be done under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public
Works for period from May 1, 1961 to March 319 1962, deliveries to be made to
various points within the City of St. Paul. -
, NORTHWESTERN GRAVEL COMPANY, INC. - 2000 tons for the contract price of approx. $3000000
R. J. JAM GRAVEL COMPANY - 2000 tons for the contract price of approx. $3280.00
CEMSTONE PRODUCTS COMPANY - 22,000 tows for the contract price of approx. $28,800.00
ASHBACH CONSTRUCTION CO. - 10,500 tons for the contract price of approx. $13,440.00
E. J. PENNIG COMPANY - 1000 tons for the contract price of approx. $2000.00
all in accordance with City specifications and the Formal Bid #8291 of said bidders,
they being the lowest reliable and responsible bidders and the Corporation Counsel
h be and hereby is authorized to draw up the proper form of contracts therefor, and the
proper City 'officials hereby are authorized to execute said contracts on behalf of
the City of Saint Paul.
