55,000, said expenses being listed as
follows:

WHEREAS, the sum of X5,000 has en set up in the miscellaneous
and Unforeseen Fund (31 G /a.) pf the 1961 Budget for participation by
the City of Saint Paul in the Saint Paul Winter Carnival; and
WRE;REAS, Saint Paul Winter Carnival Association in ,a letter
dated Marcel. 20, 1961, over the signature of John Geisler, Managing
Director of Saint Paul Winter Carnival Association, represents to the
City that expenses have been incurred in connection with the Winter
Carnival in the amount of $5,000, said expenses being listed as follows:
Expenses incurred in installation and maintenance
of downtown skating rink;
Parade float for City & County Carnival group;
General liability insurance for City and officials;
Labor and materials for construction of a ramp at
'Saint Paul Auditorium;
Expenses incurred in repairing ski slide structure;
(these bills include the Commonwealth Electric
Company, J.: S. Sweitzer & Son, Inc., Gordon
Displays, Inc., Saint'Paul Fire & Marine
Insurance Co.";
RESOLVED., that the sum of S%000 be paid. from said Fund to
Saint Paul Minter Carnival Association, as reimbursement for payment
of its obligations hereinbefore mentioned.
