Kunz, as a result of personal injury sustained on December 20, 1958, while in the employ of the Department (f Public Safety, sustained total loss of vision in his right eye and by such personal injury is entitled to 160 weeks of compensation at $45.00 per week or the sum of $7200.00; and WHEREAS, up to February 20, 1961, 101 weeks of compensa- tion has been paid to said employe, leaving a balance of 59 weeks of compensation still owing as a result of said injury; and _t WHEREAS, said employe has applied for advance payment of the balance of compensation due him, and the employees request has been approved by the Bureau of Workmen's Rehabilitation of the State Industrial Commission; and it appears to be in the employees best interest; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the office of the corporation counsel that such request be approved; subject to ,the statutory interest discount, now, therefore, it is hereby „ RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay to the employe Louis L. Kunz the sum of $2586.00, representing the present value of the last and final 59 weeks of compensation due him, taking into consideration a present value discount of $69.00,�as a result of the personal injury- sustained by the employe.
