WHEREAS, The Coilunz ssioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from February 5th through March lath, 1961 which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following work:
Operate ventilating system, PBX Switchboard and supervise during various
activities held in the building including concerts, banquets, opera, home
show and High School Hockey State Tournament.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
NO other trained helpavailable to work during the above attractions held
in the building, this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the 'Councills
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
