RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, material, machines,
tools and equipment for constructing, repairing, relaying,or reconstructing such
monolithic concrete or cement tile sidewalks and other,work•incidental thereto,
within Sidewalk,District No. 3, as may be ordered', by the-Council for the current
year prior to November 1, 1961, except such work.as the Council may order to be
done by City Force Account, to NORTHWEST FLOORING COMPANY in accordance with City
plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8280 of
said Northwest Flooring Company for the contract price of approximately $75,910.00
(at unit prices bid) plus $6,073.00 Engineering and plus $1,518.00 Inspection by
City Forces, such bid being the - lowest and siiid Northwest Flooring Company being
a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel'be and hereby is
directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to,,execute ,,said contract on behalf of the Xity of
Saint Paul.
