AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE NO. 8822, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE CONNECTION OF SEWERS SERVING STATE -OWNED LAND BE- LONGING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA TO BE DEVELOPED FOR VETERANS'HOUSING PURPOSES LOCATED OUTSIDE THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL, WHICH SEWERS SHALL CONNECT WITH THE SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ORDI- NANCE RENDERED NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVA- TION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND SAFETY" APPROVED OCTOBER 22, 19469 AS AMENDED. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RENDERED NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH -AND SAFETY. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: I Section 1. That Ordinance-"No. 8822, approved October 22, 1946, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking therefrom Paragraphs 4 and 8 of Section 1, and by substituting in lieu thereof the following: "4. The permission hereby granted to the *University of Minnesota shall be in effect in- definitely from and after the date of passage of this ordinance for the purpose of providing sanitary sewer service „for veterans' temporary housing, for permanent home sites for qualified professors of the University of Minnesota and for multiple dwelling apartment unit buildings located in the aforedescribed tract of land; provided, however, that the City of Saint Paul reserves the right to terminate the permission herein granted and to order said sanitary sewers,to be disconnected from the Saint Paul sewer system upon due notice by the City of Saint Paul of not less than one year to the University of Minnesota.” '18. Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preserva- tion of the public peace, health and safety. Section 4. This-:ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage, approval and publication.
