WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums, & Stadia
has reported in accordance with Section 51 of the City Charter
the existence of an emergency during the period from May 1 to
31, inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees in the Department of Libraries, Auditorium,
Museums & Stadia, Bureau of Public Libraries, for more than
eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following
work:
(1) Covering bookmobile schedule, (2) Being present dur-
ing evening meetings of the public, (3) Flag display on Memorial
Day and (4) Emptying Book Return Box week -ends and Memorial
Day,
AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Covering bookmobile schedule, being present during evening
meetings, displaying the flag, and emptying Book Return Box,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are hereby
