VMff9S, the City and County Detention and Corrections
Authority has heretofore recommended transfer of matrons from employ-
ment with the City of Saint Paul to employment with the aforesaid Authority
with respect to all the matrons who have heretofore been assigned to
duty at the Joint City and County Workhouse, such transfer of employment
to be effective commencing June 1, 1961; and
MHEREAS, the Legislature has enacted certain statutes affording
such matrons protection with reference to their pension and other rights;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
authorizes and directs the proper City officers to effect the transfer
of said matrons effective as of June 1, 1961, subject to concurrence
