Peterson ( 711t&<Lr� DATE MaY 25, 1961 WEEREAS, the Commissioner of public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from May 1, 1961 to May 31, 1961, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following work= Clerical work in the Bureau of general Administration (Office) and maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstancest Lack of personnel to type reports and keep current records up to date, and rebuilding cooling tower in the Public Health Building and electrical hook —up of U. S. Public Health Service Trailers to the Public Health Building. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance Igo. 6446.
