RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Widening & Paving of Lafayette Road
from Bridge over the Northern Pacific Railroad Tracks to Collins Street, Municipal
State Aid Project No. 62- 113 -02 to ASHBACH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with
City plans and specffications therefor hereto attached and the For lnlal Bid #8483 of
said Ashbach Construction Company for the contract price of $20,18.93, at unit
prices bid, plus $250.00 Water Department Charges, plus $1,614.95 Engineering and
plus $403.74 Inspection by City Forces, such bid being the only bid and-said Ashbach
Construction Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor,
and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
