COMMISSIONER •
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergenoy during the period from Aujust 1, 1961
to August 31, 1961, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hour' per week,
in doing the following work=
i
Clerical work in the Bureau of General Administration (Office) and;
WHEMS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances=
Look of personnel to type reports and keep current records up to date.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who pe rformed such work in accordance with the
provisions 'of the Councilta
