partment of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings to enter upon the
premises known and described as No.
538 Van Buren Avenue in the City
of Saint Paul, and, to tear down and

WHEREAS, The City Council, as provided by law, has authorized
the Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Buiidings to
enter upon the premises known and described as No. 538 Van Buren
Avenue in the City of Saint Paul, and to tear down and
remove the building thereon as being unsafe and dangeious to
life, limb and adjoining property, and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to such Council action, bids for the tear-
ing down and removal of said building were duly advertised for
in accordance- with the provisions of the City Charter; and the
lowest bid was in the sum of $340.00 and the expenses :of the
Department of Parks and Recreation And Public Buildings in con-
nection with condemnation proceedings and writing specifica --
tion-s amounted to $33.13 making a total of $373.13) and
WHEREAS, There are no funds now appropriated in the Building
Wrecking Emergency Fund for the wrecking and removal of said
building, be it I
RESOLVED, That said sum be paid out of the Wrecking C?ndemned
Buildings Account of the General Fund 31 G 22, and that in the
event said sum prques to be collectible from tht owner' of the
premises, same is to be credited to the General Fund Item
31 G 22.
