WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Praul, by r'solution
C. F. No. 201553, approved April 13, 1961, concurred in the resolution of
the Board of Water Commissioners adopted March 29, 1961, to extend the i
services of Boil Exploration Company beyond the original contract between
the Board and said Soil Explora.tionCompany, in evaluating the work of !
Prepakt Concrete Company and Soil Exploration Company in soil stabilization
beneath the bale Street Reservoir so as to complete proper analysis of the
soil, the cost of such additional services being limited to a sum not tol
exceed $2,000; and
WHEREAS, said Soil Exploration Company was paid for its services
az a partial payment, the sum of $1,800; and
WHEREAS, it became apparent that additional services of Soil
Exploration Company were required to complete the soil analysis study and
report needed for the purposes of-the Board of Water Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, such services have been performed by said Soil Exploration
Company and the cost for such services at thg initial contract prices will
involve an additional expenditure of- X3,608.50, making the total sum paid
and payable -to the Soil Exploration Company $5,1+08.50, :and leaving balance
due of $3,608.50;. now, • therefore, be it
RESOLVED,' that the-Council of the Cityof Saint Paul hereby concurs
in, ratifies, :approves, and confirms the action of the Board in hiring the
additional services of Soil Exploration Company for the additional sum of
$3,608.50; and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution and the additional payment
hereby authorized, in the sum of $3,608.50, hereby constitutes a basis for
the extension of the services by such Soil Exploration_ Company and shall
constitute the authority and direction for the proper officers of the
City of Saint Paul to make payment in..the amount of said sum of $3,608.50
to said Soil Exploration Company in final and complete payment for the If
services rendered by said Company -to the Board of Water Commissioners;. d be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the provisions of Council File No. 20 >1>3
are modified and superseded hereby.

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul, by resolution I
C. F. No. 201553, approved April 13, 1961, concurred in the resolution of
the Board,of Water Commissioners adopted March 29, 1961, to extend the
services of Soil Exploration Company beyond the original contract between

RESOLVED, that the Council of the Cityof Saint Paul hereby concurs
