O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in the matter of the application of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church to enlarge a private parking lot on property located at the northwest corner of Charles Avenue and Mackubin Street. The entire site is described as Lots 26, 27, 28, 29, :30, Block 2,-H.M. Ranney's Sub. of Block 11 of Stinson's Division. The zoning is "B" residence and has been since the adoption of the Ordinance in 1922. On Match 28, 1961, the City Council approved a permit to install and operate a 41'car private off - street parking lot on Lots 27, 289 29 and 30. The applicant has now acquired Lot 26,' and proposes to enlarge the parking lot by 26 car spaces for a•total of 67 car spaces. There are presently four single - family residences on the site which the applicant proposes to remove for the parking lot. East across Mackubin Street'is the applicant's church. The remaining uses in this area are single - family residences. Field investigation discloses no objections to the proposed use. The Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which meets the standards for' tbis type of facility. In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of the permit for a 67 car private off- street parking lot on the above described property in accordance with plans approved July 13, 1961.
