In the Matter of reconstructing the sidewalk on both sides of Jenks Ave. from Payne
Avenue to Greenbrier Ave. abutting the following properties- Lots 2�, 24, 25, 26, 21, 28,
29, 30 of Block 14 Arlington Hills Addition and Lots 1, 2, 3, 81 91 10, 11, 12; 13, 14,
15 of Block 179 Arlington Hills Addition.
under Preliminary Order 2016565 Approved April 18, 1961
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is reconstruct the
sidewalk on both sides of Jenks Ave. from Payne Avenue to Greenbrier Ave. abutting the
following properties - Lots 23, 24, 25, 263 27, 283 29, 30 of Block 14 Arlington`Hills
Addition and Lots 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 143 15 of Block 17, Arlington Hills Add.,
except where good and sufficient sidewalks now exist.
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 0.52 per ft.
(Excay., fill, conc. rem'd, root cutting, dri'te crossings, etc at extra cost)
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 5th day of
September, 1961 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
