' Examples of work performed: 'Td identify unknown materials by qualitative, quantitative, physical, or microscopic analyses. To make tests for the purpose of identification of blood and physiological fluids, paper and ink, inflammable materials, hair and fibers, glass, soil, paint,` and similar material's. ' To study objects under infra--red and ultraviolet light for identification. To photograph objects and substances by' means of infra -red, ultra - violet, or microphotography. To identify; by means of expert knowledge of ballistics, firearms, bullets, etc. , the place of the crime, methods used, firearms used, etc. To examine, compare, and identify documents and hand - writing. To visit the scenes of crimes and to detect, inspect, appraise, and preserve evidence. To testify in court as an expert witness on laboratory procedures, methods, and findings.. To prepare standard solutions. To make reports and diagrams. To conduct rgsearch for tk%e improvement of crime laboratory procedures and practices. Minimum qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university in criminalistics or chemistry and three years' experience as a crime laboratory analyst with actual experience in the majority of the skills utilized in a modern crime laboratory and also evidence of having appeared as an expert witness in court on these, matters.
