WHEREAS, the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners did
adopt a resolution on January 16, 1961, locating, establishing and
designating as County State Aid Highway No. 39, the following portion of
Lower.Afton Road lying within the City of Saint Paul:
Commencing .at the intersection of T. H. #61
thence northeasterly and easterly on the
centerline of Lower Afton Road to the point
r of its intersection with the centerline of
McKnight Road being the east city limits of
the City of Saint Paul, ,at its junction with
County State Aid highway No. 39, and there
terminating;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the,
resolution adopted by the County Board, a copy of which is attached hereto
and made a part hereof, locating and establishing County State Aid Highway
#39 within the corporate limits of,the City of Saint Paul is, in all things
approved.

of Ramsey County Conmissioners in session on January 16, 1961.
By this action, the County Board designated Lower Afton Road
as .County State Aid Highway No. 39, subject to the approval of your Council,
approval of the Council of the Village of Maplewood and approval by the
Commissioner of Highways.
We are enclosing a suggested resolution for adoption by your
Council and it is respectfully requested that upon action at least six
(6) certified copies of this resolution or the resolution adopted by
your Council, be returned to Eugene A. Monick, County Auditor, attention:
J. D. Swan for submission to the Commissioner of Highways with the County

c ty of St. Paul - Village of Maplewood
is respectfully called to the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Ramsey
County, Minnesota, adopted at the meeting held on January 16, 1961
By Commissioner Nadeau:
BE IT RESCUED, that the Commissioner of Highways be and he hereby is requested
to recommend to the Commissioner of Public Roads the selection of the roads herein-
after described as a part of the system of secondary and feeder roads eligible to
receive Federal -Aid:
Lower Afton Road, County State Aid Highway No. 39
(St. Paul City Portion)
Commencing at the intersection of T.H. #61 thence northeasterly and
easterly on the centerline of Lower Afton Road to the point of its intersection with
the centerline of McKnight Road being the east city limits of the City of St. Paul,
at its junction with County State Aid Highway No. 39, and there terminating.

Beginning at the west quarter corner of the northwest one - quarter of
Section 12, T. 28 N., R. 22 W., thence along the established centerline of the public
road described'as follows:
From said place of beginning thence east within the Village of
Maplewood, along or near the east and west quarter line of the northwest one - quarter
of said Section 12, to the east line of said northwest one - quarter, thence generally
east Though the south half of the northeast quarter of said section 120 to a point on
the east line of said northeast one - quarter approximately 345 feet north of the south-
east corner thereof at the intersection of Century Avenur, T.H. #100, and there
terminating.
